I’m…kinda boring.
Also, I’ll be heading to the Paradise Toronto ComiCon this Friday with my good friend, Ryan. Hopefully, I can meet some of my favourite comic artists there!
I have probably mentioned this before, but my time here in Waterloo for the spring has been busier than any other term I’ve had in school. And I’m not even taking classes yet until July!
Some of the projects I’m a part of aren’t actually 100% existing, since those projects aren’t set in stone yet. But the stuff I am sure of are two one webcomic that I’m working on, one comic and one column on Imprint, and some on-and-off favours for a friend’s blog. I’m even Graphics Editor for the paper now. Not to mention I still have tons and tons of giftart and commission work to do. Man.
But in a stressed-out kinda way, I’m enjoying it. I really am.

Oh. I’ve started on fleshing out the other pages on my blog, starting with my About, Comic Archive section. All those fancy headers and such! A little later, and I might even post up a proper profile of myself!
That, and my favourite t-shirt came in the mail last week…

I still need to watch the new TMNT, actually. Heard it’s pretty good, and it’s nothing like that new cartoon series. *shudder*
In other news, my older bro’s blog is back online! Go now!
It’s just really hard! I mean, fuck! I just can’t really understand it. It was prolly ‘cos of how I grew up with it, how it rings in my head. I never even read it; I just learned about it from my brothers, my times on the Tube and recently from Wikipedia browsing moments. But, no matter how hard I try, I just can’t seem to hate it at all.
I just saw Spider-Man 3.
I should really hate it right now. So many random and unnecessary moments, so many emo references, so many characters, so much corn, way too much crying and sappiness–and yet I really, really enjoyed it.
This isn’t like the time I saw Hulk, either. At that time, I always tried to hold a positive opinion on “tres artsy” styles of film. But now, I just can’t watch it, along with other “different approach” bad films. With Spider-Man 3, I just can’t see something similar to that happen, by thinking that I gave it too much credit, later in the future.
It felt more like a comic book. The corn and the bad puns were made even more obvious, which made it that more enjoyable. Sure, it’s no cup of tea for the analytical. But I went into that film with no mindset at all about the quality of the movie (after hearing one too many love-it and hate-it peer reviews), and as soon as the scenes started to kick in, the mindset that took over was the geeky, superhero-fan mindset that loved the Spider-Man mythos since I was a kid.
Except for being a total nerd, I have no other reason for liking the movie. It was great!
…but I still liked Spider-Man 2 more.
UWG-Tick is finally up! Jeez, I’ve been waiting a while to get it back up. Still gonna get up a blog system. I wonder if WordPress works with it…
As for Imprint stuff, I just became Graphics Editor! I was able to have my friend Christy take over for me during my trip to Prague on July, so that’s great. I’m excited for it, and I hope that I’ll do a good job with it. This means I gotta get back to remembering some of the stuff I learned on Photoshop when I was younger that I just stopped using.
Other than that, I’m exhausted. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a backlog guest comic to work on for Danielle Corsetto.
