I love how most of my previous summer posts have all used the above banner.

Alright, first off, a report of the Paradise Toronto Comicon. While it was extremely smaller than the one from last year, it was still a blast!  I got to meet a lot of new people at the artist alley people, which are all really cool folks!

  • Eyvie Hui and Andrew Foerster, OCADers who do some really crazy-cool clothing designs and decals.
  • The guys of SMR-Comics, including their own RECTANGULON.
  • Dan Simon and Jeff Moss of No Reason Comics, which I actually recognized as soon as the con was over.  :\
  • Jim Munroe from Therefore Repent!, which was a really neat read. Got him to sign my copy of the book!
  • I got to see Corsetto and Coughler/Perez again. They remembered me, but of course not very well.  Lol.

So there’s that.  Only broke even with the table price, but I’ve got a lot of print overstock, so I’m planning to open up a shop later! Stay tuned for it guys!

Saw WALL-E earlier tonight with my buddy Tex, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen an animation so perfect in my entire life. After the movie, I had the biggest smile for an entire half-hour; my knees were weak in delight. I can’t believe it, but I’ve finally found my favourite movie of all-time. I’ve loved Pixar’s work for the longest time, and ever since Finding Nemo, their back-to-the-basics approach on storytelling has improved immensely. The characters were amazing, the comedy was amazing, the action was amazing, the overall movie was FUCKING AMAZING! I laughed, I cried, I paid the utmost attention to details. Andrew Stanton has hit it big with this one!

Alright. That’s enough from me. I don’t think I’ve ever fanboyed about a movie since Hot Fuzz, and even then, it wasn’t this intense.

So that’s it for now. I’m tired. I’m going to bed.
